Shmoop a brave new world2/22/2023 A world where everything functions just the way the controllers of the society have destined it to be. This is believed to be the root of this idea of a ‘New World’. Other sources explain that the book was inspired by Henry Ford’s inventions of a mass production system, which was totally controlled to produce the required quantity and quality of output. It came just a few years after the publication of ‘Brave New World’. This was seen as a way of eliminating the unwanted segment of the general society, which was majorly of the Jewish community in Germany. Sherree Zalampas in his book stated that “Hitler was a mass murderer who systematically killed millions of people and his killings were seen as a sign of success towards creating a perfect society” (1990). An example is of the Hitler and Stalin reign in their respective societies. In that regard, this paper has identified importance of a person’s physical appearance as one means to perfection, the use of illicit drugs to blind people from reality, use of mass media communication channels like televisions and radios to distribute deceptive or controlled information, and finally, as the script will examine is the impact of propaganda to the society with aims of supressing natural human impulses (Shmoop Universitiy, n.d)įirst, since most analysts of this popular read argue that it is a prophetic book or a magnifying lens between now and many years into the future, it doesn’t hurt to compare it with some recent scenarios of the current society. Most importantly, it explicitly points out key channels towards achieving this objective. The book points out on the few imperfections of a normal society that would need to be ironed out in order to achieve and sustain consummate existence. In real sense, Huxley in this novel shows how the society can be controlled with the aim of creating a flawless community. It is a fiction novel that explains how the world will turn into a totalitarian system, which is totally controlled with the aim of making everything perfect. Readers and analysts of this book note that the author tries to give a snapshot of what the future may be like in the next many years, probably six hundred years or so. Brave New World, Huxley Adlous’s book is a novel that was published in 1932.
